Parker-Hale serial numbers - BP rifles only.

In support of an ongoing project by David Minshall of the MLAGB, I'd be very grateful if those of you here who have ANY Parker-Hale muzzleloading rifle or Musketoon would advise me of the serial number.

    TIA.

Was lucky enough to purchase recently an unfired Musketoon with Lyman mould, serial number 7288

Please tell David Minshall at Research Press - .http://www.researchpress.co.uk/

He is always on the lookout for P-H serials - yours has the air of being one of the last Musketoons made by P-H before the partial and then full sell-out.

0 - 9000 - completely made by Parker-Hale at the Golden Hillock road, Birmingham, factory.

9001 - 14000 - made by Euroarms with Parker-Hale barrels ready proofed in Birmingham, many P-H components and Italian wood.

Post 14001 - totally-made in Italy with Italian-made barrels made on P-H tooling.

No need to tell me, I'm just the messenger. Tell David Minshall on the address I posted above. Your Musketoon, BTW, was made in Italy using one of the remaining P-H barrels, and of the rest of the P-H parts, but with Italian woodwork. Note that ALL P-H barrels were Birmingham-proofed before they were passed on to the furriners for completion and eventual sale via Euroarms dealerships. After #14000 they are ALL Italian, and no longer can claim to be anything to do with P-H, unless you are a believer in homeopathy.

Thank you, Sir. I'll be passing it on to him momentarily. You'll be happy to know that your Musketoon is the real deal and not some Eyetalian frawk. @JB101 - I passed your number over as well - the barrel and other parts are certainly from PH.

BP rifles, no longer in my possession but possibly somewhere in Yorkshire.

I had 3 Parker Hale rifles and all sold sometime ago.
Calibre 0.451 serial number 454. 2 band rifle.
    " 0.451 " " H1670.
    " 0.577 " " 4839.

#454 was an excellent rifle and used on 100 and 200 yd ranges in Yorkshire.
The .577 used on 100 yds range only.

Hope this info is of use.

    Regards, HM
