    £10 rifle

Well no one likes a gloater so I won't,
Just picked up a BSA Supersport in extremely good condition, bar one little niggle.......the barrel had been allowed to close itself under its own steam. Guy thought it was just a busted stock( split right through the pistol grip) till I got him to look down the barrel......under new European guidelines I have seen straighter bananas!!
So he let me have it for a £10, whilst both are no major issues, I am tempted to put a .25 barrel back in, anyone know of any spares??

Funnily enough saw one in my local shop that had suffered exactly the same fate - that was being broken for spares, at £10 youve had a great deal.
The .25 sounds a good idea, if you buy a new one though it will need to be via a RFD as you cant get them mail order any longer.
The stock sounds like it needs a brass pin and glue inserted from inside, let us know how you get on with it.

Why not straighten the banana barrel and fix the stock?

    I remember buying a Mercury for a tenner,the problem?.

A transfer port that was a similar diameter to the bore.

I just straightened a barrel on a Gamo Hunter 880 and was suprised how easy it was. I just used some blocks of wood and a big C clamp and applied pressure in increasing amounts until the barrel got to where it was straight.

/\ This. Unless the barrel is well and truly buggered, but either way it's worth a go?
