how longs the barrel from muzzle to start of the breach block?
my mate does them for 25
I have a Hw99 and want the barrel shortening and threading. That's the easy bit. The hard bit finding someone to do it for me. My local gun shops don't have gunsmiths, the only gunsmith who does do this can't get the breach block in his lathe. I don't want to give it to a general machine shop, I want someone how knows what they are doing.
So can anyone point me in the direction of a suitably equipped individual.
The air rifle I am putting together is a copy of a mates rifle that shots really nicely, unfortunately the guy that did his barrel is no longer with us

I'm guessing after shortening there would be around 10" give or take sticking out from the front on the breech block.
Mate of mine had this done and it lost that much power and accuracy he ended up replacing the barrel for a HW50 carbine threaded as standard. Differenc was amazing. Probably down to losing the choke, they always say to shorten a barrel from the breech end if possible.
