    Walther LGR SSP

I’m not really one to part with my things, but my Walter LGR Single Stroke Pneumatic target rifle hasn’t been used for ages, due to shoulder trouble.

Not really sure how much these are worth these days, as I have seen adverts ranging from £350 to £450+

It is in quite good condition, and has been looked after since being in my possession. Anybody have any idea of value?

    Kind regards,

    Phil

Not sure, to be honest. I’ll flick through my pics, to see what I have. If not, I’ll take some.

    Kind regards,

I would probably say your original estimation was pretty accurate, although judging by condition you want to be at the higher end. (£400+)

The problem with these is demand, whilst they are beautiful rifles the demand doesn’t reflect the quality. But I’m sure the right buyer would see that it is worth what you were asking.

    Dear Tom,

    Thank you kindly for responding.

It is a nice example. Painful to part with, but running out of room and struggling to store it.

    Kind regards,

    Phil

    Nice Example

Hope you are well Phil, and that's a lovely example, well worth the asking price, nice light Walnut, from the days when Walther did their own stocks, and had a huge wood store with the blanks all stacked up and it smelt gorgeous!

    Have Fun

    Hello Robin,

Nice to hear from you, and long time no speak - doesn’t time fly!

Thank for your kind words. I am loathe dear to part with it, as it was a rifle I always wanted. However, given its weight, along with my shoulder troubles, it doesn’t get used.

Sadly, I don’t think there is much call for the old classics, especially in the world of PCPs.

Oh well, I won’t be too heart broken if I have to keep it.

    Kind regards,

    Phil

    Phil,

For me, and many others, the old classic's are where it is at

I really, really enjoy shooting my 10m 'Match springers', and my two SSP rifles (Walther LG90 & FWB 602).

Even my modern break-barrel 'springers' (HW95 Super Match, HW99S, and HW30S) have been turned into emulations/facsimiles of the Walther LG55/LGV.

Have fun & a good Bank Holiday

    Best regards

    Russ

    Hello Russ,

    You are so right.

My only PCP rifle is an Air Arms S400, but I’d even say that was a classic given its age now.

I have all the rifles I ever bought new from my BSA Super Meteor, through my Wembley Omega, to my Weihrauch HW77K. They all have a spirit you don’t seem to get in modern offerings.

Have a nice bank holiday too.

    Kind regards,

    Phil
