Loctite for push on moderator (HW90k)?

Something previously discussed in older threads but mainly for scope screws etc...

Wondering what would be best to hold my push on moderator on end of barrel HW90K)?

I have 222 but wondering if will be strong enough. Will also have grub screw.

    Many thanks!

    Hi Bez

With 222 being a low strength adhesive, I'd be looking at something with higher strength like Loctite 271 or above.

I now use a really high strength adhesive for weights and silencers which I got from my local Motor factors --- I'll find it's name out for you later.

    Thanks Mick appreciated.

I'll hold tight, tempted to buy 638 to be safe.

Looking forward to the name of your stuff.

Loctite 638 is extremely quick grab / set time, hardly time to adjust if you needed to

Cheers good info. Another one you'd suggest? Want it rock solid, if need to ever remove in future I'd get the heat gun on it.

Would only need a few seconds to slide on and align the hole for grub screw (with mark in barrel where previous grub screw was fixed).

    Here you go, Bez. :-

I use this for gluing barrels into breeches and for fitting barrel weights and shrouds etc.
