That's a very sweeping statement to say owners will generally deny problems. In my experience the reverse is probably nearer the truth. Generally, people seem more likely to go public with a complaint or a problem (often in order to get advice) than owners who have a "good'un". There are thousands of HW owners out there happily shooting away without rushing to post how good they are.I have 3 HW's and did have an easily rectified problem with one which is now spot on. Truth is you will get hiccups with ANY make of Air gun. They are complicated bits of engineering.

Hi All. You get problems in all air guns from time to time.
All the German made stuff is usaly top end guns cars scope's. And like say you do get a odd ball or sometimesomething a bad Bach. My main gripe with all new air guns is usaly they are far too low on power. Atb bob.

    1. The perfect air rifle does not exist. Every make has issues whether it be R&D through to batch errors. Group policy and CS also changes from being hot to rot.

    2. All PCPs can be complex. Seals will always perish over time. I have a Daystate Air Ranger wh8chis excellent and I had another.... not an air ranger hat was pants.
The BSA R10 Mk1s were universally considered to be really bad. The Mk2s less so. The FX impact was rubbished...now all the R& D is sorted they are a good rifle.

    3. If the guns are new... bat it to Hull. Its what you have paid for.

    4. On the whole......the 100 is a very very good rifle. It does what it says it will do and it is much copied and concepts borrowed. Trigger... mags... indexing...accuracy....all pretty much sorted out of the box.

There are a lot of specialists here but the bigger picture shows the 100 is a benchmark gun over time.
In a battle of wits I refuse to engage with an unarmed person.
To one shot one kill, you need to seek the S. Kill only comes from Skill

I’ve got a KS at the moment and it’s been faultless and very consistent. I’ve had a Regal HR for the same amount of time and, while I love shooting it, it’s back at Daystate for the second time with a slow leak. It can happen to any make of air rifle.
If someone asked me which make of pcp I’ve found to be the most reliable I’d say the HW100, not because I love Weihrauch but because it’s the truth.
I have to agree with you Chris. In addition the HW100 is a straightforward rifle to service and faults when they do occur are easy to diagnose.

Don't forget the HW100 has stayed the same for nearly 20 years and as one if the most popular rifles there are going to be issues especially with older well used guns. That said I've tuned some real older ones and they still function perfectly with little sign I'd wear.
