The black and decker has died.

Anyone ever replaced a battery in a Rutten \ Browning airstar?

Manual shows it's a standard 7.2v NiCad (1300mah) stuffed inside the butt.
Remove the butt plate, take the pack out.
Replace with the same from most model shops. Should be about £20, looks like it even uses the good old shite Tamiya connector found on almost all these packs as standard.
A new one will likely have more like 3600mah capacity too.

Thanks very much. There's a model shop a Snetterton. I might make a special trip just so I can take it to Micks bash this weekend.

Great news mick, battery sourced. As it's 22 weekend, I feel obliged to bring it along.

I was going to say that there's a big RS component store near me at Bermuda if you couldn't get sorted elsewhere.
