    New Hawke compact

    Has anyone got the new Hawke Airmax compact ? Looking to replace the viper connect 3-12x32 as it’s not that great in low light .

    I love the wide fov on the connect and am looking at the Hawke compact 4-16x42 as it’s quite small and has side parallax from 10 Yrds.

    I still want a good wide view and hoping this spec scope does !

    Thanks Mike.

    I asked a similar question the other day.

    As I understand things only the 3-12 is available at the moment. I was asking about reported issues with the IR control being very stiff and the side focus wheel binding on the mounts;

    An inspection of the 3-12 in a shop near me confirmed the reports so I'm going to e-mail Hawke and ask if they have had any feedback on the situation.

    Other than that it does look like a nice solution for those who like a less is more set up.

    Thanks Portzy, it seems they are available online at a few places but really want user views.

    They say they are wide angle,so could be a good scope .Nuggs
