    Feinwerkbau 80 target air pistol

My mate has a recoilless side lever Feinwerkbau 80 target air pistol in it’s original case complete with all of the tools that were supplied with it when it was original purchased by him when it was new.
The pistol in as new condition.
What is it worth as he is looking to sell it.
If anyone is interested I can probably get photographs of it.

£2-300. If it has been recently serviced, usually indicated by a blue piston washer, towards the higher end of this. It is better if the grip is as manufactured and not customised to fit.
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher’s knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn’t out collecting for the Red Cross.

    Hi. Inspector
It has never been serviced or been taken apart, the grips are completely original and have never been modified.
The case if I remember correctly also contains a selection of barrel weights.

If it's still on the original seals it will give up the ghost very soon once you start using it.They go to a cottage cheese consistency.New,modern seals will last virtually indefinitely,so you'll have to factor in the cost of renewing the seals, not cheap or doable by the average user.
I did one years ago, took me a week on and off with the pistol in bits meanwhileSo I'd say you're looking at getting on for £100 to pay someone to do the job, more if the springs need replacing as well which will hit the value somewhat.

Strange, on classic apa you say
“It was last serviced by Debens several years ago and has had little or no use since.”

Finish on the right side looks different to me, maybe just the light. In excellent un-marked condition with proof of recent service up to £300. Without the service up to £200. Yours looks to fit somewhere in between.

    Hi.Mikehill
As the pistol doesn't belong to me I didn't bother to include the comment as I don't have any documented proof of when it was done.

Here in the U.S. I would put a value of about $700. The FWB spring piston pistols don't come up for sale very often around here.

    Hi. All
After using this Feinwerkbau 80 target air pistol quite a few times the anti-bear trap system started to jam and eventually made it impossible to complete the loading cycle.
So I have had to strip the pistol down to rectify the problem whilst I had it apart the recoil system was found to be seized up, as the sliding components were seized onto the rails, so I striped the pistol down the the bare frame after a struggle to get the seized sliding components out as the rails were also seized in the frame.
After cleaning and freeing the seized components up, I replaced the seals, buffers, piston ring and both the springs, I used Feinwerkbau special grease to lubricate all the components during the rebuild process.
I have now tested the FWB80 after the rebuild and everything is working correctly, I cant say the striping and rebuild were easy, but I would say it was more of a fiddly job than a complicated one, there are no YouTube videos to help you with the repair of the FWB80 they are all about the FWB65 which uses the same seals and buffers but the firing mechanics are very different, so if you try to repair your FWB80 take plenty of clear photographs as you take it apart, as you will need them to get it back together again.
    Regards Fronteria
