Thanks Nige.
The valve is a very basic "pressure to close valve", Shoot until the pressure starts to drop off (POI lowers) adjust the valve screw until the gas releases then back off slightly, The pistol should then release the gas just before pressure drops enough to affect POI, a very simply design but very effective for comp shooters as it prevented "low gas" shots being taken,

Thanks
I was over thinking it.
I will list and sell these two Anatomic Masters separately as it is highly unlikely that anyone would be interested in buying the pair of them.
This afternoon I have taken pictures of the first one that I will sell (which one I decided to sell first was decided on the toss of a coin - like all good decisions!) and I have taken pictures to show the pistol, the red and white Hammerli box, the Hammerli hard case and the Hammerli handbook that will form the deal for this first sale.
This would make a really interesting purchase for any serious Hammerli collector as it will also provide a spare box (or case) as well as a nice pistol and a genuine Hammerli pistol handbook - something I found really hard to find when I wanted one!
I am asking £450 for this package and hope it will interest a Hammerli collector who does not have an example of an Anatomic Master and who would appreciate having a spare box (or case) to safely house or display another pistol alongside this one.
I have taken fresh pictures this afternoon to clearly show the full content of this deal and I would be happy to email them to anyone that is seriously interested in seeing them or buying this interesting package from me.

Nice examples Bob,
They were even rare in their day, (the 70's), and even rarer in the UK, as then they were on Firearm Certificate in the UK, (powered by noxious gas, was the reason!!!) and most Air event organisers classed them as firearms, and would not allow them, I had that problem with the Walther CP1. The only place I saw the Hammerli's in use in the 70's was on the other side of the water in Europe.
Not for me, but very tasty! Some one must snap these up!
Have Fun
