    Fwb300SU adjustable cheek piece broken?

    Hey everybody!

    My first own thread.

    I own a FWB300SU since a couple of weeks.

Yesterday I tried first time to raise the cheekpiece. But it wont stay in place!

What could be wrong? How does it work raising the piece to a fixed hight?

(There are two screws from underneath).

I feel real stupid asking about this but any guidance is much appreciated.

Hi Kincop and a very warm welcome to the forum.

Receiving helpful information is all part and parcel of the BBS and there are some very knowledgeable people on here.

I hope the link as supplied above by Rikard answers your queries.

    Kincop,

IIRC, on the earlier versions, there were inserts that went in, under the cheek-piece.

Once the insert was fitted, the screws were tightened down holding the inserts in place.

    Have fun

    Best regards

    Thanx for the welcome.

There are only two screws underneath. So this manual provided by link seems not to be the same modelversion?
I'll try to take a picture and post..

To the best of my knowledge there are three variations in respect of cheek piece set up on a Mod300S Universal, the first ones came supplied with two separate low and high cheekpieces held on by two long bolts from the underside of the stock, the bolts only hold them on and do not offer height adjustment. I understand later versions had only one height cheekpiece and used a bolts/spacer set up to raise them and finally there was a proper adjustable mechanism.
People who have been there focus on the fundamentals. People who sit at keyboards all day focus on the trivial and inane.
