BIRMINGHAM' paper label (losses to label and box corners), the tray complete and sound with original barrel compartment intact

    A boxed webley like that should of got more ? 5 years ago i would expect that to be over a grand ?

    If that is the hammer price the purchaser must have shelled out about £1,300 before any transfer/shipping costs.

    Just at an auction you expect cheap...not so is it...
    I just see a decline in airgun prices even in modern pcps..its declining not growing ...every person i knew growing up had an airgun ..now its a talking point ...

    I noticed in the Holts listing for the boxed .22 Webley MK.11 Service the serial number was given as S13217, whereas the barrel number was given as 1728.

    There is also a 25% + VAT buyers premium on the price, so actual price is £1274.

    The Lincoln air pistol sold quite cheaply at £290 hammer price, considering that the last one to sell on here fetched £750, and () JC Militaria currently has one on offer for £1200. If this price is a true reflection of a trend then I think JCM might have theirs on the books for quite a while. Or maybe someone just got lucky with Holts.

    Yes someone got lucky. it had most of it's original bluing.
