    Fx streamline or hw100

    Hi all,

I'm currently considering getting another rifle for hunting. I like the look of both the fx streamline and Weihrauch hW100s. There both about the same price and just about in my price range.

The reason I like the fx is
    1. Lightweight
    2. Regulated and 200 shots per fill
    3. It has a power regulator so I can turn it down when plinking

My reasons for the hw100 is
    1. It's incredibly accurate
    2. I've had one before and regret selling it.

Can I please get people's opinions on both and also does anyone know anywhere in Essex that have the fx in stock as all the places I've tried have to order it in and I would rather handle it before committing to one or the other.

    All the best

    Jack

    1. It's incredibly accurate

Nothing on the general licence can withstand a hole of any size through the head.
You cant carry 200 dead rabbits
You cant carry 200 dead rats.

    Accuracy is everything.

The Streamline fed the right pellets is also extremely accurate, I use mine for 25m outdoor Bench Rest where the centre 10 ring is 2mm in dia.

You need to handle both and decides which one suits you best, weight and balance wise.

This is probably the best advice, you know how the HW handles, see if you can handle the FX

For me it would have to be the dreamline I think at least they look a lot nicer and to be honest the hw100 is so much heavier by comparison. For any real time spent stalking the hw100 is a nightmare .

    FIT/FUNCTION/Pros & Cons/Budget/

Try both. You already know one of them. it wont be difficult to make an assessment for your personal fit and for the application to do the job or jobs you need it to do.

Reduced power for plinking is the least essential item on my list. You have to make the back stop sufficient for much greater than a 12FPE rifle can offer !

It is to do a job so you have to decide that if the fit is a go, what does each gun bring to the party.

The 100 has always been my favourite due to its accuracy and ease of maintenance, but I have never liked the weight. Took one and a half pounds off mine by fitting a Fenton cylinder and a shotened BSA Meteor barrel. Lovely to handle now. Have fitted a moderator which took the bark down to original level.

I've had both. Sold the HW ( although it was a lovely rifle) and kept the FX Streamline. What a gun!!! Beautiful fit, feels lighter and must as accurate as the HW. Try one , I. Doubt you'll put it down. Mark
