And event such as the B.A.R.C doesn't just happen, and we would like to thank every one involved in putting the day together:
Richard Woods (he with the encyclopaedic knowledge of the Anglo-Egyptian colonial period in the late Nineteenth Century, and of Arabic language derivatives ) for all his extremely hard work - not just setting out both the courses, but also for undertaking marshalling duties all through the day, and re-painting 70 targets during the lunchtime break (ably assisted by Steve Edmondson)!, Charles Peal for once again taking on the role of being M.C. for the entire day (and doing it with such great aplomb), Mike Seagrave and Danny Roff for acting as marshals, Brigette Vant for being there bright and early to help get everyone booked-in, and later collating and compiling the scores, Jean Greatrex for pitching in and helping out in all sorts of ways.
A massive vote of thanks must also go out to all who helped with sponsorship of this year's B.A.R.C. and their kind donations of an absolute myriad of extremely generous prizes for the post-shoot raffle:
All the good people at The Airgun Centre in Rayleigh, Essex
Lilly You at Optisan
Claire West and the team at Air Arms
Pete Sparkes at UKAHFT and WHFTA
Charles Peal at Southern Hunters
Richard Woods at Maldon & District Airgun Club
Finally, the biggest vote of thanks must go to all the competitors who came along, took part, enjoyed themselves thoroughly, and made the B.A.R.C. what it is - a truly unique competition that tests a shooter's marksmanship across two very different forms of air rifle target shooting. Without all you guys and girls, it just wouldn't happen, and we look forward to seeing you all again next year - at M.A.D., of course!
