    Pellet stuck in barrel!! (Fwb300su)

Today I was going to test my rifle with new scope-mounts.
First shot at 30m..big miss (I thought)..ok , second shot..still big miss..!! And third shot.. still no hit at all on target!! Then later my friend noticed it seems like the pellets dont come out of barrel!
What the heck! That was correct, the first pellet stuck in front of barrel
I've ever even heard of this before.

How can I get the pellets out of the barrel?
Please give me advice, Im not good in mechanics/tecs..

    Eeeek! Sorry to hear this.

I suppose I've been lucky and never had anything like this happen, so not sure really as to the best way other than a full strip so you could (very, very carefully), using a rod tap them out. The full strip meaning you can knock them out from breech to muzzle; not sure how practical it might be to try and do it the other way around?

The full strip would also allow a look inside and get to the cause in the first place......piston and / or breech seal in need of replacement?

Hope you get it sorted soon and someone else be along shortly with more experience in such matters.

Best guess as to cause would be the piston buffer has failed, the original ones are made of one of those plastics that turns to the consistency of cottage cheese over time.

Once they fail the gun won't generally fire a pellet.

The replacement buffers seem more resilient.

As to removing the pellets, I would agree with Tony, strip the rifle and rod them out carefully.

The 300s is a complicated rifle to strip unless you're conversant with it.

Check to make sure the breech seal is in place on the end of the compression tube.

I'd try to carefully ascertain how many pellets may be in the barrel.
Insert something from muzzle and measure.
Insert something from breech and measure.

If there's a large portion of unaccounted barrel. likely one stuck near each end or worst case totally blocked.

If just beleive there's just one, try a 3.5mm length of delrin rod and insert from muzzle and gently push back to breech.
Don't use any kind of rod that will mark the barrel.

If the delrin rod doesn't free the blockage take to to a gunsmith.
Either way whether you clear the blockage or not, it will need a stripdown and a reseal.

Based upon the OP's comments, it would appear that there are potentially three pellets involved.

    Pettets stuck

You say you are not mechanically minded and you have a precision target rifle with stuck pellets.

Get the gun to someone who knows what he is doing, trying yourself could ruin a lovely gun.

Also whatever you do don't insert anything from the muzzle end.
Sorry but I think this is the only answer. I have stripped and re sealed a few of these guns and whilst not being brain surgery they are fiddly to work on.

Used these many times from either end. Self tapping screw in aluminium rod, 4 mm knitting needle here, but have seen shop bought fitment to attach
to cleaning rods. I'm just a cheapskate.

I had the same problem the piston buffer had desintergrated blocking the transfer port!
A full strip and re seal did the trick

Agree with the consensus the piston seal will be toast, as you are not confident to strip etc, I would suggest find someone to take it apart for you and while they are at it remove the pellets

As Rob says they can be tricky

    Thanks.
Ive pulled out two pellets sofar. There is more to come..
How deep in barrel can I use this method before hurting twist inside the barrel? Or are two pellets already one to many?

Is it possible to unscrew the top/end of barrel?
I've pulled out totally three pellets..
Im afraid I will damage the inside of barrel..if continued.

Sadly not. That’s just a shroud which can be removed by trapping out the lock pin. However the barrel will remain full length.
Stripping the gun will be your best bet. As per previous posts there will be an internal problem causing the issue which will need to be fixed before the gun will be usable again.
    Cheers

So after firing three times and noticing no hits on the target you tried 12 more times?
