So my my breach and pellet probe are Falcon ? Can you tell me what I should be looking for to identify it as Falcon ? John is a friend of mine, has helped me a lot and have been dealing with him for years on my projects. He could not tell if this was a Titan or Falcon from the pics.

You might want to read my previous post number 11 in this thread.

"Both the sloping cut and flat cut breeches were used by Titan. When Falcon stole the design from Titan they hijacked the later flat cut breech block which was current production at the time. Check the Facebook JB fanpage for loads of factual info and photos. There is also a Facebook Titan page as well."

Should you not believe me then ring John yourself. All the fanpage information is provided by JB and I publish it there for him. That way all the info is accurate.

I think Benelli is agreeing with you.

The breech block isn't definitive and JB can't identify the rifle as one or the other from pics supplied by Benelli.

I sold the rifle to Benelli and I thought it was a Titan as it came from a Titan collector along with another Titan rifle.

Having said that the collecter also had early Falcons.

The breach as someone has also said are on a slope and not cut straight across as the falcon breach's are ---unless its been changed?? and every titan I have had has had an adjustable hammer --but these also can be changed!!!

Yes but what about the early Falcons that were made with identical parts. John Bowkett told me that there were early rifles built by Falcon using Titan supplied parts.
Mine has the adjustable hammer which I have had to set using the 25.4 gr pellets. What I want to know from ZAKDINGLE what specifically makes mine a Falcon.

Read post 17 above bud. The information came from JB himself who as technical director and partner in Titan Develpments should know. THE LATER TITANS USED STRAIGHT CUT BREECHES.
This means that it could either be a late Titan or Falcon pirated copy as they stole the Titan design of breechblock which was in production during Titans later stages - as gingerbiscuit says.

My point is that if the Bolt /probe has a groove in it then its Deffo a Falcon if its a peg it could be Debatable

Thats wrong. Read the post before yours. The later Titan straight cut breeches used the probe with a groove in. Falcon stole the design and used it without any changes.

Getting confused comes naturally to me as well. No need for the sorry bit. I get a bit carried away over tiny matters sometimes, sorry. James.
