Thumb and forefinger usually work for me.

Not sure why you would need a probe?

Some of the very early BSA/LJ air rifles came with a little two ended tool (very rare) with one end being a trigger weight adjusting spanner and the other a pellet pusher. However, I too haven't had a need to use anything other than my finger and thumb to drop the pellets into the loading tap. In my experience, the same is true for both the Airsporter and Webley Mk3 air rifles.

just trying different pellets shoting and having fun ....however wouldnt mind a decent pellet seater pusher as some new pellets are a little long and need seating .

if it came on the tool which it did .. does someone not make a copy ...clone tool or am i stuck with a pencil ??

    Golf tee.
    Blunt pencil.
All manner of things could be used including my teeny tiny thumb!
I recall reading, possibly on here, of guidance how to use a brass bolt of the appropriate size and 2 brass nuts to make a pellet seating tool where you could adjust the depth of seating by adjusting the nuts.

I think T.R.Robb used to sell one with a handy knob on it.

The depth has to be consistent and don't push the pellet all the way down or you can affect the release point of the pellet and lose power.
