    New toy....

The PP700SA came through the post from Czech Republic last week. I am remarkably impressed with this bit of kit. Got mesen a shoulder stock from GoDive at Derby. The accuracy is quite astounding when a scope is fitted. Not the same as my HW100 obviously, but 5p sized groups @ 24mts bench rested is pretty damn good.
Out of the box it was a bit hot, 9.3 ft/lbs. Easily backed off and now shooting a constant 5.2 ft/lbs with superdomes.
Trigger is surprisingly good, and I just love the sliding loading port!
Its a noisy bugger tho. I looked for a silencer adapter and found TR Robb did one. But anything off him takes months to come, so I decided to whizz one up on the ML7.

The barrel is threaded M8 x 1.0 for some bleddy reason and typically I didnt have a tap that size. Cromwell tools wanted just under 20 quid for one, so I nipped up the road and borrowed one off my mate who runs a garage....

Made it out of Aluminium to see if it worked. Its does, oddly enough! Ill do one in steel later, I reckon.

Yup. No one had one here. I placed the order and then had an email a couple of days later telling me it was out of stock and would I like a refund or wait. I thought I'd just wait.
Turns out as soon as they had them, everyone other retailer had them! My guess is that there was a whole shiploads of containers full of Chinese guns!

Interesting, didn't realise they were capable of that sort of power.

Wonder if it would be classed as an air rifle if you made the stock a permanent non folding attachment...

Wonder how many shots it would do at about 10 ft/lb, would be a lovely lightweight hunter.

The barrel would have to be at least 30cm for that to work.

I've never been an advocate of power in airguns. For me, its the accuracy of them. Maybe its a bit of Asperger's in me, but I just love the way PCP's plough pellets through the same hole!
Mr squizzer isn't really going to survive a hole in the head, even from five and a half foot pounds at 25 mts.
