RESULTS: Horsham Hawks Summer Open Series 2019 – Round Two Results – 21.7.19

Horsham Hawks Summer Open Series 2019 – Round Two Results – 21.7.19

Well done to everyone and very many thanks to those who turned up for the first round of the Horsham Hawks 2019 Summer Open Series. The weather was kind, but there was an interesting little wind that made the shooting interesting. Congratulations to the top shooters, especially Ewan Hobbs with his 58 and also to Doug Falcon and Mike Harding with new 'personal bests'. There may have been a few more newsworthy items, including a son who beat his father (but dad did have a new rifle) and three new members at Horsham who didn't put cards in but showed very great promise for the future. I hope they will all be back. Some really good scores there!

Dates of future rounds for your diaries, cell phones, laptops or ipads are:-

    · round 3 - Sunday 18th August 2019
    . round 4 - Sunday 20th October 2019

Please find below, the results published in the usual format. Any errors are mine alone. If you would be kind enough to ‘ping me’ a note, I will make any necessary corrections. Within the next day or so, I shall transfer the scores to a spreadsheet so everyone can keep an eye upon how the league is developing through the later rounds. This will be available on our club website at https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/003ef...764866571c.pdf

    Top bombing Ewan.
    Wind certainly made things interesting.
    Thanks Phil and team.

    I aint got rhythym...

Seems I aint got spellchecker either

Some serious scores there....Phil, seems you fought through the pain....as I have said before best uncle ever

Excellent course, those long tapering dark tunnels are a real bugger.

Paul, shot mate, those damn standers...should be banned

Not sure Jon comes on here, but in his defence it wasn't the rifle, it was the scope?

    Ethan was on fire, brilliant

Anyway, to the rhythms, I have often wondered why my scores and plenty of others seem to vary so much, is there some kind of discernable pattern.

Looked back through my records and tried to overlay with the following that may be a factor:

    The Seasons
    Lunar cycle
    Solar cycle
    Biorhythm
    Menstrual cycle
    Circadian cycle

The conclusion is none of the above have any measurable effect, its just me, some weeks I am above average and some weeks I am just bobbins

    Next time fellas, next time.

Enjoyed that, great course and always a pleasure shooting with you Lol. I've let it go but will step away next time if need be. Thanks Hawks all the effort much appreciated. I especially liked the multidirectional light breeze in the field.
