Thanks for continuing to support the MPL series Rob.

I paid my MPL fees last night to enter the Supported Air Rifle competition again this year and Ray (Softtop) also paid last night and we set the range up at 6 yards to dust off the rifles that have not been shot since we completed the previous MPL series at the end of June. I also tested my grey Model 6 that has not been shot since it was rebuilt by DM80 with three new springs and seals, and that shot perfectly too!

When Paul (Bart49) returns from holiday next week we will have three shooting in the SAR series and hope that others will give this "new" discipline a go this season as it is not quite as easy as you might think as the 50mm hard round bar rest only touches the rifle at a single point (tangent) and only "supports" the weight of the rifle but still demands good sighting and trigger control - but still wobbles and shakes on the "slippery" bar and needs controlling - nothing like shooting from a sand bag or other nice soft rest type.

Well done Rob!

That is a brilliant score for a free standing spring powered rifle shooting with round headed pellets as the holes will be smaller than if it was shot with flat nosed match pellets that give much cleaner holes.

Even at such a short difference the accuracy is better with the ftt than either hobby's or jsb wadcutters. I will continue to try them, but so far the ftt is by far the best pellet.
Had i been using accurate wadcutter pellets, not wishing to brag, but my scores would of been a lot higher, i will continue to try different wadcutters, do h&n make any ?
The rifle in question has been tuned by Paul Short & is fitted with a titanium piston, so shot time is very fast, it is however also running at over 11ftlb so a full powered rifle.

Well after toying with the 77, i have gone back to the 99 & hobby pellets, shooting a respectable 274 for the September round. The 77 was proving just too front heavy for me & the bad shoulder.
