    Tuning advice please

    Hi,
I fing my supersport very loud and twangy and im not getting much luck in finding a gas ram for my supersport in the wanted section, can anyone recommend a good diy tuning solution for one? ie chambers, venom, home brew etc?
If its a kit could you give me the relevant phone number/website etc?
    Thanks.

A little word of caution if purchasing a venom kit. Check with Venom beforehand that the piston is suitable to receive the green powr-pulse piston seal. Otherwise you will simply receive a factory standard seal. BAR you do not distinguish this in their pricing. I found out when I bought a stage 1 kit from BAR for my webley longbow. In my case Venom kindly modified the piston head and fitted the powr-pulse seal. I have found the service from Chambers and Venom to be both excellent.

Thanks for that. Chambers kit looks good but Im wondering if I should hold for a ram, as Ive had one in a superstar before and really liked it. Hmm....

The Supersport has a lined piston which should cut down quite a bit of twang, BSA spring guides are usually rubbish as they are made to acommodate a wide variety of spring internal diameters.

I usually make up an extended guide in brass to fit the spring concerned, that and a little polishing of the piston skirt and honing the cylinder will give you a silky smooth action.

A bit of work and a relube will make all the difference.
