Despite the early start, and setting up in the rain, it actually ended up being a cracking day for a shoot. Admittedly when we first got on the course the sight of a two inch deep river running down part of the shooting line did raise a couple of questions (Including… “if we stick an extra number by one of the pegs in that section and make it prone only do you think anybody will fall for it?” ..oh so tempting to try it).
The turn-out was a bit on the low side, mainly because people I’ve spoken to got-up this morning, looked out of the window and decided shooting in the pouring rain wasn’t the best way to spend a Sunday morning. As it happened, by the time we’d finished plinking the sun was out and the river had drained away.
As usual the course dried out quickly and nobody ended up covered in mud or fell in the stream. A bit of gusting wind also made it interesting enough. Top shot on the day was Peter (it’s not very left hand friendly) Fenn and congratulations to Saskia for being right up there. Any way the full scores are:

Peter Fenn 53
Neil Belcher 52
Saskia Mahoney (J) 46
Natalie Roy 46
Terry Evans 46
Mike Pennels 44
Max Belcher (J) 38
