I bought a new hand for my Uberti Remington from Kranks about 10 years ago.

It was under a tenner back then.

I think Peter Dyson, who is an extremely talented Gunsmith probably has them too, as the Uberti spares will fit an original Remington or Colt.

He's based in Holmfirth, Yorkshire. Tel 01484 661062.

    Thank you
I rang Kranks and ordered two@£12 odd each.
And that includes the leaf spring.

I have replaced several hand and spring assemblies using Uberti spares and have found that they often need an element of hand fitting. I would recommend you compare the profile of the broken part with the spare as they need to ne identical to ensure smooth operation.

The old one was worn when i compared it to th new one from kranks, disassembled 4 times before it indexed the cylinder correctly.
Just need to shoot it at the club, to make sure it works ok with a loaded cylinder

    Hi
I found it was the profile of back of the hand that needed slightly reshaping to match the original hand. I too bought several spares and fettled them all so that the next time one broke I could easily fit a replacement without needing a file.
It might be a bit stiff to index initially, but should be fine after that.
