    Venom style silencer.

Surprised the rear sight is still fitted, if it was a Venom gun.

No visible sticker or provenance in the auction listing.

Whether real genuine actual Venom or not, definitely a nice special Omega. If I lived close, I’d go and check it out in person.
As I said. Beyond stock, no evidence it is Venom, and the rear sight is odd if it is (and suggests it may not be).

    Omega

English walnut stock £250, Action £130, Silencer £40, rearsight £20, Scope £25 adds up to more than the estimate. My venom omega not longer has its original internals cause it's 34 years old and they were replaced with vmach ones. Mine cost £400 and is the thumbhole one in the venom adverts in the airgun mags back in 1985. Mach 1.5

i took a punt at £330 and that was my limit as i was unsure it was a genuine Venom but liked the look of it and with fee's it would have worked out a lot more.

It sold for £550; plus fees, that's £706.42 for a rifle that most people suspect isn't the real deal. Very brave.

I've always wanted a Venom rifle and live in York. Had a look yesterday taking the stock off and the internals aren't standard Webley. Yep I bought it.

It's shoots as smooth as silk having fired 5 shots through it.
Coming to bits tonight as it's not been used for a long time.

It has Venom stickers on the mod and chamber. The butt pad is Parker Hale which I believe is as it should be.

From doing lots of research it appears to be a Venomega Hunter with a 1984 price of £262.

I'm no expert on these and it would be appreciated if someone can take a look at some pics of the internals to let me know if if it is genuine.

    Cheers

Well done mate, glad it’s true venom, hopefully.

I couldn’t get up so just had a pot luck punt.

Cheers Steve, it looks like it so far. Just found a strip down guide to make sure I don't foul it up or make it hard work. Could just do with confirmation of the internals from some knowledgable folk on here once shes in bits.

It's a Venomega Hunter to give it's proper title. Came out in Feb 1985. PM me your email and I'll send you the advert with it pictured. Mach 1.5

With being so close I was lucky being able to have a look first and the auctioneer was good enough to let me take the stock off so I could see it had a metal spring guide rather than the plastic factory one.

I had a limit in mind and I was one bid off it.
