The last one you'd sell...

Two/three years back, had health issues. The doc appointed by my company opined that I would have to take medical retirement & sell my airguns/motor & pushbikes, as my right arm was kaput. Took the retirement package, & eventually regained the use of the arm. And got another job.
But it got me thinking about what in my small collection I would sell last. I'm a Webley man at heart.
The CO2 pistols I don't really worry about - they're summer fun guns. My HW 35's would go, but the early .22 would tug at the heartstrings - a much nicer gun than my later .177. Got most of the post war Wobbly pistols, it would be a toss up between the .22 Hurri I've owned for the best part of 30 years & a more recently acquired mint Tempest. Despite me loving the steel pistols.
As for the rifles - again, love my Webleys. But even the Mk3s would go - my '70's BSA Airsporter would remain. Which came as a shock to me.
My 2013 BSA Meteor has probably accounted for more pigeons/rats (in my ownership) than the rest put together.
OMG, am I becoming a BSA man?

would have to be my bsa superstar mk2. it shoots so sweet and no mags that can knacker to worry about. my fave springer in my collection to be honest. pcp wise it would be my very old and trusty aas300

If we assume my health goes last and therefore the last gun I own will be for sheer pride of ownership rather than as a shooter - I think it'll be the minty fresh Webley Senior I have.

Great question as we all get older. I actually have thought about what I would do if I get to the point I would have to move into a small retirement home etc. I think my rifle would be my Erma LG10. It’s so well made and feels just like a real classic Winchester. It’s beautiful just hanging there. And given it has no real power I could still shoot a few in my room without anyone knowing. Lol. My pistol a Haenel 28, just because it would still be fun to hold and appreciate. I love Airguns that do their job but look like classic beautiful firearms, where no quality was sacrificed.

The last one to go would be my maple stocked Mercury. I've never seen another one.I recently acquired a maple Meteor too which was difficult to spot with the stain on it but now the stain is gone it looks very different. I think the maple Mercury is a bit like Marmite.....you either love it or hate it !

IF I had to, I could, with a heavy heart, get rid of my Air Arms Shamal and Smith And Wesson 79G. Hell if I REALLY had to I could see me selling my Martini Henry IC1 rifle.

But there are two airguns I would never sell, ever. And those are my Park RH93 .22 and a old BSA CS(Club Standard). Both were given to my from my Grandfather and the BSA was even his very first Air rifle he got in the 40s (He got it off a RAF serviceman who was lodged at his parents house during WW2).

Sentimental value greatly outweighs the actual value of both guns.

My BSA Spitfire. Got it new for my 18th birthday in 2005. A great gun, with a nice smell. I think mostly Ballistol. Some guns just smell great

Some interesting answers - and the realisation I phrased the question badly. I should have said 'Which would be the shooter you'd last sell?' If it was a 'collectable' my answers would have been different...
In the rifle category, my '61 Mk3 for the feel of the engineering - but the later '70's one for the superb walnut stock. Pistols - either the late Senior or early Premier - on that, looks like I'm a Webley man after all!

Last one I’d sell would be a Steve Pope’d Hw97k, reason is that it took so long to put together/ don’t think he’s doing this sort of work much anymore etc...it’s so nice, I get nearly as much pleasure looking at it as I do shooting it
