    Bell Target white indicator fluid

    What is the best mixture for painting on the face of bell targets as a strike indicator? Thanks.

    No problem sir, we use Johnsons Baby Oil to mix the paint for the Bell target at the Boinger Bash as it doesn't discolour.

    I did wonder if Sudocrem would also work as it's a mix of Zinc Oxide and Paraffin Wax and would save a lot of messing about for folks to use on a home range.

    All the best Mick

    It certainly does - even IJ looks clean (in places) after a bell target shoot if the target plate has been whitened !

    Thanks once again, Mick. When I lived close to Bisley I regularly shot bell target at BFTO using my vintage BSA’s, but never gave a thought to the messy white stuff which always magically appeared on the firing point. Anyway I’ll give it a go down here in Bournemouth now I have a faceplate.
    Regards, David

    Titanium dioxide mixed with baby oil - doesn't dry out;

    as I. J. says "it gets everywhere" particularly on his person....
    Nowhere to go ........in no hurry to get there; www.rivington-riflemen.uk----- well I suppose it is somewhere to go.... founded by I.J. - let down by the tainted blood scandal
