If you've got a filling adaptor then screw it on slowly until the bottle starts to fizz then just leave it until it's empty.
Anyone near East Grinstead/ Crawley have a Rapid 7 please.
I have to depressurise 400cc and 280cc bottles before I can sell them and post them.
The only way seems to be to fit them to a gun...
Thanks
Dave

Thank you! Just found the bottle connector together with other spare stuff.. that'll have to go as well!
It worked with the 400cc bottle once I had removed the sealing washer from the bottle, but not with the 280cc bottle for some reason.
Thanks again
Dave

best way to do it
Is there actually any air in the 280cc bottle? You can check by trying to push the white valve core with a blunt or flat nose device such as a 1/8" pin punch. If it won't budge with hand pressure there must be some air pressure behind it. Don't use a hammer or anything sharp such as a screwdriver or pointed punch, you will damage the valve! If there is no air in the bottle the white (sometimes black) valve core will move inwards a few mm with reasonably gentle push, there is only a fairly weak spring behind it, check your 400cc bottle as you know it to be empty.
BSA Super10 addict, other BSA's inc GoldstarSE, Original (Diana) Mod75's, Diana Mod5, HW80's, SAM 11K... All sorted!
Don't RM insist on the valve being removed not just empty of air?

Yes they do.
I intend to remove the valve and then it's just a water bottle...
Snag is ...even with the pressure released I can't unscrew it! So I'm at a halt at the mo.

Make sure it’s depressurised, then warm the end of the bottle/valve area gently with a heat gun to soften the loctite. It should unscrew easier then.
Phil.
Eagles may fly high, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines !
Thank you, I'll try that tomorrow.

Just screw bottle onto gun with no oring.or remove bottle adaptor from gun then screw this on to bottle.easy peasy.
You can use heat to remove valve but to to much can melt the valve pip if it's the delrin type.

Thanks Nick,
I've got both bottles deep pressurized now, just have to remove the valves.
I'll be trying the hot air method, that's worked before on other stuff.
