Maximum power in Spain, anybody know?

Does anyone know for sure the maximum power for airguns in Spain? I've repeatedly heard it's 18f/lbs as opposed to 12 in the UK but I can't find anything about it on here or on the web,
    Cheers,Nige

It never ceases to amase me how different countries arrive at their power limits levels on aiguns, I am well aware of how the British one was arrived at, that has been discussed on here on Manny occasions, but 18 in Spain, Why?, 10 in Germany I think, but why all these silly limits when airguns come nowhere near close to even the power of a Crossbow?. Let alone the power of someone being hit by a lump hammer!.

Just think - if that was the UK limit, we'd be able to launch .22 (e.g. 14.3gr) at 740 fps. That'd show a similar trajectory to .177s at 12 ft. lb.

AA Fields in 4.52mm would be leaving at a blistering 970fps for 17.5 ft. lbs. How much fun would that be?
The Mayor: Intent? How did you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a man is chasing a woman through an alley with a butcher’s knife and a hard-on, I figure he isn’t out collecting for the Red Cross.

got a pcp thats doing 960fps in .177, yes it is fun, shame to deny it to all sensible Airgunners, without the hassle of an FAC, not all have the rights on land that are FAC airgun rated.

I think, that members of all aigun clubs, as smallbore clubs do, (then they mabe able to compete with the yanks at their power levels) should be allowed to have guns that are rated to that, even if only has 25 yrd range with a suitable backstop.

Because as they have joined a club, and been subjected to a probationary period, they have already proved they are responsible people.

    HI!

Here in Denmark we haven`t got a power limit on airpowered guns !

Somebody though, have heard rumers that there will come an end to that!

But so far it`s only rumers.

In Sweden there is a powerlimit for 7.5 Joule( 5 Ft/Ibs).

    Espania por favor!

I seem to remember it is 23 Joules or 17.8 ft/lbs.

This is an extract from the Spain - Firearms Legislation on This site

    Air Rifles

Those below 24,2 Jules energy, of any calibre, may be possessed with an authorization issued by the Town Hall. If the owner is to use it only on his/her property, he Town Hall’s authorization in not needed but the seller of the air rifle must issue a Sales Declaration before the Guardia Civil and the Mayor’s office, stating details of the buyer and the make, number and calibre of the gun. Those in excess of 24,2 Jules are considered equivalent to a firearm, and a Gun Permit is required
