A fountain of knowledge that will no longer nourish and encourage...
A real loss that will be felt by many including me.
My condolences should any friends or family read this.

Very sad news. I remember when I started in the hobby 4 years ago, and I posted a Crosman 102 with a beautifully figured stock on the forum. He posted giving me a lot of insight into what I had acquired. He did this many times over the last several years with my finds. I quickly found out what a close community Airgun collectors were and how freely you had access to the real experts. He will be greatly missed.

I have had several similar experiences with Dean. One story that stands out is Dean's account of pallet loads of the Crosman 150C wooden presentation boxes being broken up into a dumpster. I was always hoping Dean would produce a book on the 150 pistol but sadly this never happened.

Very sad news indeed. I believe he was on the cusp of furthering our knowledge of the Challenger Arms company too. RIP.
