$400 for what is probably a Gamo PR-45 underneath?

Properly having the wool pulled over their eyes!

    It’s a restyled Chiappa FAS 6004.

I do like the looks, though.

Styled around the Sig P210 which IMO is a gorgeous looking pistol.

I think I would have preferred the Gamo

From what I have read about the Chiappa, you may be right.

Have they fixed the reported rear sight thread-stripping issue? Which is not an issue on either of my “proper” FAS604s, or my Gamo Compact and PR45?

Anyway, looks aside, I cannot understand paying £400+ for the “SIG” new when a great condition used FAS FAS is £200-300, a used Gamo Compact £100-120, and a used PR45 more like £40-60. Or a new P17, £65, HW40, £whatever. Etc.

I agree, the styling of it is rather good.

It looks like a cheaply made HW75 to me! The price makes the modern FWB sport look like a bargain eek!

I had a go with one at the club on Tuesday and again today. It is drop dead gorgeous! Far too expensive for me though

Did you fire the P210 or the air pistol?

The P210, he wanted a go with my Artemis PP700 so we traded for a few shots

I had a SIG P210 9mil in South Africa, was fortunate to get it cheap from an estate as it should have been over £1000. I have owned about 30 9 mils and the SIG is the Rolls Royce of the bunch. The one I had was the SIG P210-5 target version, I stopped carrying it as the front sight would hang up on a quick draw scenario. These were made before the SAUER connection. Still have the wooden grips I made for it, very complex shape to fit the frame.

I'm very put off by the fact that Chiappa are making these for Sig. The rear sight is the unit fitted to the 6004...have they resolved the material incompatibility??
