    Hw 100 filler valve removal

[hi everyone got a hw100 with a leaky filler but can't get the cylinder end to unscrew, very tight. Any suggestions please.

Have you given it a sharp blast of air from a bottle? Sometimes that’s enough to blow any debris out out of the valve that may be stopping the seal.

OK tried blasting a bit of air into the cylinder but no joy, still leaks so looks like it needs stripping. Tried undoing cylinder end but too tight to unscrew. Any ideas welcomed.

I wrapped mine in leather to protect it and put it in a vice then used a suitable diameter bar to unscrew the valve, it’s bloody tight but will budge.

Just don’t give it too much in the vice, if you wrap the leather the right way it will self tighten.

just took the front off an old type cylinder with a big spanner and the lathe
other end won't budge with th adjustable and has bulged the ally a touch so i'll try the end in the chuck and an oil filter strap on the cylinder tomorrow with a touch of heat
if that fails i'll be making a new end cap
