I’m trying to set up a modern telescopic sight on an old mk2 bsa meteor. So far so good however I’m having the following issues :-
The sight tends to creep back on its rail (dove tail to picatenny)
The sight is on its maximum elevation but still shooting low what is a good shimming medium ?

Ive just got back into this hobby so trying keep costs down untill I decide to stay with it.

Old photographic film works well for shimming.

Cheers. Would old negatives work ? Think I still have some around.

It's the same stuff, so most likely. It may be more brittle, but no harm in trying
