When you say "distance", John, I'm presuming you mean how much difference in the points of impact at the two power settings?
The honest answer is "I can't remember". But it's a huge difference, probably around a good 3 inches at about six or seven yards with my current .22! I guess a lot will depend on what type of hold is employed. And it's all to do with the piston travel. As opposed to most "conventional" springers where the piston travels away from the shooter on the compression stroke, with the piston coming towards you you get "muzzle dip" as opposed to "flip". So you get a LOWER point of impact on the higher power setting.
I really must have a good play with my '45 soon and measure it accurately for you.
And I can't remember the difference being as marked with my old .177.
