The next one wont be as easy.

    For example:

    1) .177 Its a HW55 target rifle. You can tel with the distinctive collar around the trigger adjusting screw.
    2) BSA MERCURY
    3) BSA MERLIN.
    4) Female HW '35 Vixen due to the chrome side catch.
    5) Sharp ACE.
    6) BSF I would accept Bavaria or Germany.
    7) Original 45 due to the stock cross pins I would have accepted 50TO1.
    8) HW Export due to the pistol grip cap with 22" barrel - [I]two little ducks 22/I] !
    9) Falke - FALCON.
    11) CCL oil so LEMON
    12) Appel mount so APPLE.

I hope you enjoyed the quiz as much as I enjoyed trying to baffle you.

Ian, thank you for the quiz, Imust admit the answer to number one was easy for me, that collar round the adj screw on the 55 always gives it away. I read recently that not only did HW use a weaker adjuster spring, they also polished the sear surfaces of the Rekords used in the 55. And the 55 has a unique trigger guard from memory.

I must admit Ive never noticed the different guard but I will look. As for the spring. That is one little tuning trick I use in some of my Rekord units. Ive found polishing of sears show very little if any improvement but a lighter spring
