    Something to do during lockdown.

Amazing what you can do when you are bored.

Just finished drilling 46 holes through a 15mm thick steel plate. This amounts to a total depth of 65cm - equivalent to drilling the bore of a rifle barrel and half as much again. I was surprised I managed to do it with the same drill bit.

Now all I have to do is join up the dots

    What pistol will this become?

I foresee a lot of filing in your future.

And don't forget I had to hacksaw the damned thing out of the steel plate first. I'll arm wrestle anyone after that lot!

Danny, let's see if anyone can guess what it is going to be (no, not a fishing weight or an anchor). Here are a few bits also in progress which might or might not give a clue:

You are making a BSA Scorpion from scratch, with a metal lower receiver?

    Or a Diana LP5G?

Not a bad guess - I think I might have gone down the same line. But there's no way I would make something that was so readily available.

nowhere near you does plasma cutting ?
could do it by laminating 3 plates, welding the seams ?
    hacksawing that is nuts
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
