Hi,

During this lockdown, I've been overhauling my cheap musket. I've stripped the stock back down to wood and re-carved it, binned all the metal and remade everything in brass.

One of the bits of brass I'm making is a nameplate in the wrist. Apparently most guns that had these fitted back in the day never had a name or marking engraved into them, but I want mine done.

Does anybody know of a decent engraver that can hand engrave into a small brass plate? The plate will be a 35mm tall, 2mm think brass oval. It'll need to be hand engraved as the plate will be curved to the stock and I also want a quite busy single capital letter, so I doubt a standard computer engraver would be able to do it, BUT maybe it could ????

Any thoughts?
