It’s a reskinned Milbro Diana model 15 with an added anti-bear trap device. Introduced in 1978 and made until Milbro folded in (?) 1982. You don’t see or hear about them often, so I think they are quite rare.

They must be rare as you and I could well be the only two people in the universe to own one.

    I have a Diana 15

Bought from Dennis Hiller at an Arms fair held at The Prince of Wales Hotel in Southport

Carried it home wrapped in newspaper on the train whilst reading his first edition Air rifles Book

Nobody died during this 'armed incident' in about 1981

So either a nice period piece, or a desperate and unsuccessful attempt by a failing company to compete in the late-70s British air rifle market?

    Or both, obviously.

John Walter had a bit of a hard-on for these in the first Airgun Book (“Though possessing only average accuracy, the advanced features of the Bob Cat place it among the best in class.”) that I never really got.

I remember seeing these in the late 70's, in my mums Great Universal catalogue - happy days - didn't get one though - plumped for a Relum .22 break barrel for £15 ( 75 p x 20 weeks). The Relum was a good gun - very accurate ! - came with a 4 x 15 scope.

I had a tatty but working example a couple of years ago but sold it.
Like lot of seventies products it looked quite funky but was just a plinker underneath. Anyone wanting to complete a collection of Milbros or post-classic rifles will need one. They seem scarce. I suppose they did not sell many and lots got binned once the kids tired of them.
