    Usual suspects
Second hand HW 100 or Air Arms 510

New Walther RM8 ,Gamo Coyote or Phox.

Chinese ,Artemis P15 and others via SMK.

The HW and AA have good residual values.
    Others not so much.

Don't forget to factor in filling equipment if you don't already have it.

I would have thought that calibre would have been a prime consideration tbh.

Single shot doesnt suggest this is a hunter so if a plinker over short range, cal is less of an issue. Problem is what your intentions are are at the start are not necessarily where you end up.

2nd hand will get you further - jus do your homework re the rifle that it fits and doe the job/s you will need of it.

Give the gamo gx40 a look, about £375 new, leaves enough for a scope and air pump.

I like the s510 or even the s410 but would rather both in walnut, Daystate huntsman classic also another lovely gun, Myslf I would try and source a nice mk1 theoben rapid as you will have so many options for all your shooting needs,

Must admit that I like my FX Cyclone, quick reload, 8 shot magazine, seems to be relativly bomb proof, been going for several years without changing.
