Webley front sight removal?
Evening all.
Sorry for the longish post.
I'm back airgunning again after a long break.
Recently picked up a Webley Stingray which I'm liking a lot.
Unfortunately the post in the front sight glows brightly when I'm lamping..and I can't see the rats.
Is there an easy way of taking it off? I've searched the net and looked for Allen bolts/grub screws but there are none.
Am I right in thinking it's either an interference fit or it's glued on and I should heat it up and gently whack it?
I'm half tempted to cut it off and sand it smooth.
Thanks for any help 😊
PS I'm looking for a missing bolt that attaches front side of stock to action, any recommendations for spare parts suppliers?

Is it a proper Webley or a Turkish one?
Birmingham Stingrays aren’t very common, and increasingly of interest to collectors. Modifying it would hit the value. Maybe just put a bit of black tape over the post?
Spares: try Chambersor Knibbs.

Thanks for the reply, Geezer
I'm guessing it's a Turkish one - based purely on looks and age. Will try and find a website so I can check serial number.
Black tape seems obvious now you've said it. D'oh.
I'll have a look at those sites for a spare bolt, thanks again
