I never thought I'd be making hay on the range, but this year I've sold the grass to pay for the field rent.

Thought you might like this :-

In the film the bucket is made from half a Firkin barrel which are 380mm in diameter at the base, our bucket is 61mm at the base and we're shooting at 71 yards.

So by a quick bit of maths, if we scale our bucket up we're shooting the bucket at the equivalent of 442 yards which is way past the calculated 325 yards in the video.
So that makes me with the diana k98 mauser with an old 4x32 scope standing 2twice on trot a great shot 😃

Been there, done that (although I don't know how Jamie would have got on with a breathalyser)

Great to hear that the Little Field of Joy has also generated a little income, Mick.

Cheers for the link to the video. I'll have to watch it later, though, as it looks to be quite lengthy and the Fun Prevention Officer is sure to kick off!

And your calculations demonstrate that, in addition to meeting the nicest people in the whole wide World at a Boinger Bash, you also meet the most elite of marksmen.

Not 100% sure, but I seem to remember The Tinster using a Tempest, Alastair.

    Hope you're keeping well.

    A little peak.

    The bash field https://imgur.com/a/PjvKXC6

Had a mowing session this afternoon.

Two options for the range but I reckon East to West makes more sense. Gives people more space for wandering around.

You probably don't want people trying to aim in to the setting sun
