    Sumatra question

    Morning all,
Just been reading about Wilba’s grief with his Sumatra.
I used my mates FAC 707 many years back and found it phenomenally accurate, it put in inch groups at 100 yards - however the trigger was diabolical and it had to be single fed, which was nigh on impossible - as the mag mechanism just didn’t work.
I was thinking of buying one of the newer Sumatra versions as an open sighted back garden gun - are they actually worth considering or is it likely to wind me up?
Looking forward to reading your replies.
    Cheers, Craig

    get the carbine
sumarta rotary mag is easier to live with, but one the pellet stop adjustment is set on the 707, it's also fine.
as with 707, they really need a bit of work out of the box to get the best from them
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Cheers Jon, I was hoping to hear the newer versions would have the ‘wobbly bits’ all straightened out but clearly they still need a bit of attention. Do they still have the amazing barrels that they used to have?

Thank you, mate - how do you find the accuracy and reliability?
