    Air Rifles and Other Interests

Curious, it would seem that we air rifle enthusiasts also share common interests, maybe some of our friendly members of this great forum would kindly reveal all in pure interest to see if we do share common interests and hobbies outside of this lark of collecting and an overwhelming enthusiasm for air rifles. Indulging in sex, swinging and the odd Thai Shop visit excluded please, and no need to get academic about the subject.

I can’t really explain why I’m hooked, and why I spend hours reading posts on this website, but I do and can’t resist. I just have to accept that it has an unusual effect one me. Why I look in the sales section when I have enough is beyond me. Yet, I can't go the PCP route for fear of developing Tourettes(spelling?) resulting from leaky seals, in compatible fittings and bottles.

Other interests I have is a collection of British motorcycles, some restored, some in the process of, but, mainly ride a Harley Sportster, the electric start being a lot easier than hauling the old stuff on a stand and kicking the hell out of them, only to see the old thing conk out again once ready to ride. I enjoy the motorcycle autojumbles and rummaging through the piles of worn out scrap at ridiculous prices.

I love old steam trains and traction engines, the heritage railways the sounds and smells.

I will dabble in a bit of watercolour painting, mainly land or sea-scapes.

And, if I get pissed off about something, the Fender Telecaster, or a Stratocaster will get a hammering.

    Any commonality out there?

    All the best to all......

Entered this kinetic art piece in a local art show this year. Been making arrowheads out of flint for years turned it on its side and called it a fish and set it floating about? Lol Great fun to be a artist for a day.

I keep a fifty year old wooden Broads cruiser afloat.

Spend a lot of time in the woods.

    Keep the dogs exercised.

And have yet to discover the perfect rioja, I'll keep up the research.

I enjoy dogging and vintage match ploughing.

That may sound embarrassing but I already owned a tractor and plough, so why not ?
