    Tumbling

    After buying two ultra sonic cleaners which failed after 1/2 hour I’ve decided to buy a tumbler instead,
    I’ll be cleaning 17 hornet and 223
    What do you use with your tumbler besides ss pins

    if its a vibrating tumbler then above is as good as anything else....
    if its a wet tumbler.....stainless steel pins , warm water and citric acid and a blob of washing up liquid.........you can also use 1/2 of lidl dishwasher tablet instead of washing up liquid
    another tip i was told...after wet tumbling empty dirty water then tumble again in clean warm water for 15 min

    I just bought a tumbler off a guy on here. I've just used the media what came with it for some .357 cases and it was fine. However I put my 3 stainless Alfa Westlake cylinders in for a half hour and didn't seem to make any difference to powder residue but they were more shiny on the outside.

    try a teaspoon and work from there
