    Hawke one-piece v Sportsmatch one-piece mounts

Need a one piece mount for an HW80

Hawke are considerably cheaper than Sportsmatch but are they
    as good?

Have used both, Sportsmatch are that bit nicer and better finished so if you can afford them then go for it. This said contrary to what some members will write I don't think there is anything at all wrong with Hawke.

    Kindest regards

Been buying one piece mounts from China for years - less than £10 in some cases, can honestly say I've never been able to tell the difference - why pay a premium?

Sportsmatch every time, why scrimp on mounts for the sake of a few quid??

I also pick them up second hand any chance I get so Ive always got them to hand....

look for sportsmatch branded as Bisley or RWS they are the same but can be cheaper.

Although there is possibly absolutely nothing wrong with the Hawke mounts and I'm sure they'll do the job admirably (a couple of my guns have them), where possible I'd always prefer the extra reassurance of the Sportsmatch items. Try our sponsor and Michael Tawn for competitive prices.
