something I'd noticed in the AGW Venom advert I'd posted earlier in this thread...



the rifle in the photo looks like an early AA S300 but labled as a Gaystate pumper

did Venom play with S300's or was it a graphic-design cockup?

I have a Venom tuned Webley Eclipse dating back to 1993, Steve Pope took the order and I remember him saying, it takes a lot of spring to get the Eclipse shooting at full power, it is the fastest actioned springer I have ever shot, similar to a Theoben

It’s definitely not a Daystate Sportsman as it lacks the huge pump lever.

Enlarging the image, it’s a bit blurry, but you can see where it says “AIR ARMS S300” in white letters on the action.

Every time I spoke to Steve, I could have asked a thousand questions and that was one that didn't cross my mind at the time.
