Presented in 1979 to the Directors of Hull Cartridge. Impressive since the 77k didn't come out till 1983? And £2000!!. Mach 1.5
i remember them doing that with the hw35e, gold plated , there was an article in airgun world way back!
If I was doing a pre production run and gold plating it I would have used a better serial number.
Does the guy selling it he have 3 nipples???
That takes me back, I remember reading about it, a long long time ago.
Im sure JC Militaria had a gold plated HW35E a few years ago. The barrel was as bent as a 9 bob note.
They wanted a fortune for it as well as they do for most things
Serial no dates it to 1993.
The one in Bazs pic 1984.

If this is the one irwd about years ago " the man with the golden gun" in one of the mag's I think it was with Lewis Collins? I'm sure I might have the mag still
Gold painted......
fond memories
From memory, the three gold plated 77s presented to Hull Cartridge were given before 1985 so if dated at 1993 this gun can't be one of those.
There were Gold plated HW35s produced to celebrate the millionth Weihrauch produced in mid 1983 --- I'm sure BBS member Rickenbacker has one.
Another HW77 that had Gold plating on it was the Northern Arms Gold Sierra, but that only had the back block and under lever plated.
All the best Mick
