    Nothing marmite about them, would love one!

    Got a service mk2 in .25 which I still shoot occasionally, very fond of it and a definite keeper

    Great rifles, clever mechanism and beautifully made, but for utility, I would rather a Bsa Standard

    I agree,I find them very much Marmite.As a design I find them completely devoid of anything aesthetically appealing,but I acknowledge their historical relevance.

    A good description, the first time I saw one, I couldn't believe how small they are compared to the MK2.

    Yes l have to agree with that comment. l have only ever had one of them just to say that l have owned one. and l exchanged for a Colt revolver. l can understand why they didn't make many of them when there was the BSA underlever around. but each to their own.
