    ive always had it most land owners require it when your on there property

    Insurance

    Always had it.
    It’s peace of mind for the landowner and it portrays the shooter as a responsible person.
    It may also help secure that permission one is after.

    To answer your question no it’s not compulsory in law.

    But I have had land owners ask for it.

    And if they want it they get it.

    Not a legal requirement but more than advisable.
    I've never been asked if I have cover,typical of farmers who can be a little cavalier.
