If you think people who weigh their pellets are dull.......

I caught myself weighing CO2 bulbs last night

The only conclusion I came to was my kitchen scales are not consistent enough for me to draw any real conclusions!

New tin of AA Express for the springer comps, the second one was every bit as riveting

Well, on a serious point, hardairmagazine weighed a few different makes of CO2 capsules, before and after use, to see how many of them actually had 40 grams of CO2 inside them. So maybe a useful exercise if comparing?

Am I missing something - with a full bulb you don’t know the weight of the metal to subtract from the overall weight, or is the bulb weight very consistent.

Suppose if you were to weigh each bulb individually before and after this should be accurate?

    I’ve tried it
    12 grams for most
But a few bay of evil fakes certainly don’t have 12g and I noticed that some of the cheaper ones have co2 that smell like a fishmongers middle finger
They are certainly not filled in the proper manufacturers factory

The ones I weighed were about 41/2 grams filled so maybe that is why you out 40g.
    Rich.
PS And yes I was intending to do before and after weights but gave up when the same scales would give 2 or 3 different weights for the same bulb.

That's quite a difference, have you compared poi on a target? Never got into weighing pellets my self but I can see why comp shooters would benefit.
