    Gas ram test please

Thanks for looking. Had a peep inside a Crosman "Nitro Venom" today. Nice little thing but under 2 ft.lb. Should have twigged from the name but never mind.
Suspect the gas ram so tried load/deflection on our dedicated rig. Puzzling 'cos have little/no experience to interpret result.
As backup tried a spring, to hand. and ME up to 8.
Can anyone say typical curve for sub 12 ram please?

pressure doubles when you half the volume.. doubles again at 1/4... you get the idea Force directly proportional to pressure.

However your spring replacement test tells us what we need to know
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Thanks for rapid informative response. The force rises to 80 + lbs in the first say quarter inch then flattens out for next three quarters.
Small threaded hole at blunt end for charging maybe. Body dated 2011.
Need to consult owner but I'd spring it.
